Information we collect

We collect account information such as email address, login events, license status, payment identifiers, session metadata, and usage records. During a live session, the service may process speech audio, source text, translated captions, and generated audio.

Google sign-in data

When you sign in with Google through Supabase Auth, StageSubtitles.com receives the Google account identifiers needed for login, including your email address and basic profile information made available by Google. We use this data only to create and secure your StageSubtitles.com account, connect purchases and license minutes to that account, and provide support. StageSubtitles.com does not use Google Workspace APIs to read Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or other Workspace content, and does not use Google user data to train AI or machine learning models.

Sign in with Apple and email

StageSubtitles Companion supports Sign in with Apple and email/password authentication through Supabase Auth. Apple provides the account identifier and, where available, your email address. You may use Apple's private relay email address. These data are used to authenticate and secure your account. We do not use account information for advertising tracking.

Live events in StageSubtitles Companion

When you host an event, microphone audio is sent to our service and DeepL Voice to produce live captions, translations and, when enabled, translated speech. Our mobile relay distributes captions and audio to participants with the event code; it does not provide a recording archive or replay of audio. Event names, language selections and session usage are processed to operate the event. Participants can join without an account. Camera access is used locally to scan event QR codes.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, provide live translation, enforce license limits, process billing, troubleshoot service issues, and improve reliability.

Service providers

We may share data with service providers that support speech translation, language processing, text-to-speech, payment processing, hosting, analytics, and email delivery. These providers process data only as needed to provide the service.

Retention

Usage and billing records are retained as needed for accounting, security, and service operations. Live content logs are kept only when enabled for troubleshooting or session reporting.

Delete an account in the iOS app

In StageSubtitles Companion, open Host an event, sign in, stop any active event and choose Delete account. Confirm to permanently delete the account and its associated license/session records. An Apple-linked account requires fresh Apple authorization so its sign-in authorization can be revoked. Unused minutes are lost. Billing records may be retained where required for accounting or legal obligations. The email deletion request below remains available.
